As most of us know the Duke Blue Devils and the UNC Tar Heals will shed blood and tears to try and win the ACC. Both of these collages are tied in the standings. In there first meeting at UNC Duke came out on top with an 89-78 win. Tyler Hansbrough scored 28 points and had 18 rebounds. Dukes Greg Paulus scored 18 points and had 4 steals.
A week ago the England national team fired there head coach (Steve McClaren) after not qualifying for Euro 2008. England lost to Croatia 3-2 last Wednesday. Croatia had already qualified for this tournament. McClaren stated that "This is one of the saddest days of my career." This is the first time since the 1994 world cup that England has failed to qualify for a major championship, and the first time since 1984 they have not gone to the Euro championship. One of the main reasons people are mad is that McClaren sat David Beckham for the first half. Then when he came in in the second half for his 99th appearance, he served a cross into the box that Peter Crouch got a head on for the equalizer. England needed a tie to go through and it looked like it was in the bag until in the last four minutes Mladen Petric of Croatia scored a late winner to give them the final spot in group E. So who will be England's new coach? How well we he turn out?
